About Us

Mental Health Research

Occ HealthMental Health research looks at all thing's in relation to our well being and mental state.  This can include common conditions such as anxiety, depression and stress, as well as more complex conditions.  It can also look at the support and experiences of sudden and life changing events that are common in our hospital environment such as life-threatening disease diagnosis, traumatic experiences and loss of a loved one.

Through our excellent Psychological Medicine Department, we are proud to support important research trials in this area.  The department offers support to patients who are going through treatment and diagnosis, their family members, as well as our NHS staff who provide such important and dedicated care.

Our research looks at offering the best support and interventions available to these groups as well as looking to gather information that can lead to improving patient and staff well being and support.

In 2021/22 we were very proud to be the largest recruiting Acute NHS Trust in the country for mental health research!
